An increasing number of joint activities with EU Embassies
were also put forth in a successful manner, consolidating a
positive recognition among all Member States embassies. For
instance, EIBN implemented a Greek Maritime Delegation with
the support of the Greek Embassy and was supported by the
Italian Trade Agency in acquiring participants for the F&B
European Pavilion.
On its own, EIBN led the participation of a delegation
of European interior design companies to INDEX Indonesia
Fair, where the 7 participating companies were represented
under a European Pavilion. Similarly, 13 EU food and beverage
companies were featured under a second European Pavilion
at SIAL InterFOOD Exhibition in Jakarta – giving them the
opportunity to present their products to Indonesian end-
consumers and multipliers.
EIBN also prepared a market study for the Finnish Embassy
in the topic of the Education Market in Indonesia. The other
market studies presented by EIBN are in the topic of Fisheries
& Aquaculture, Food and Beverage 2017 update, Maritime
2017 update and Healthcare 2017 update.
EIBNalsomovedforwardwithkeylocalpartners,establishing
a closer cooperation with BKPM by giving continuity to the EU
Desk at BKPM after TCF’s project conclusion. In this regard,
since January 2017, EIBN has placed an EU Desk Manager
and an Assistant in BKPM. This collaboration with BKPM has
widened the scope of the enquiries that EIBN is now capable
of answering, including topics referring to understanding the
opportunities and processes of investing in Indonesia. Mostly,
the enquiries were from Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium and
the UK.

In the 4 years of implementation since the start
of the EIBN in 2013, the project has implemented
outreach activities in 27 EU countries. These include
59 information events and 32 trade fair visits.
Furthermore, the project has been able to assist over
1,100 European companies with business enquiries,
while supporting, individually, over 154 companies and
organizations with concrete market access business
services, and while contributing to several missions
coming from different EU member state countries.
