Annual Report 2013
The materials, which came on DVDs, were distributed cost-free first to teachers of partner-schools of GIZ, with
the option, to implement “diesen Ansatz” nationwide. Bundled with this DVD the teachers received a “Teachers’s
Manual” in the form of a booklet, which explained how to administer the individual lesson-topics and which
also encouraged flexibility in covering the lesson material. As an added benefit, a short video is included at the
beginning of each lesson topic, which presented humorfully the “Best and Worst Practices”. The main actors, Edu
and Seno, presented the students with real-life identification areas. Each lesson topic starst with a related analysis
of the video. This allowed for a pragmatic, humorful and culturally-adjusted approach towards the start of each
theme.
The project benefits from the combination of EKONID’s proximity to the economy and the experiences of the GIZ
in development cooperation. Through the synergy of both organizations, the project team was able to generate
particular relevance for the target groups and, therefore, achieve long-term success. In addition, the innovatively
designed materials may also be used for subsequent further studies and improvment in the teaching-learning
process of techincal and vocational schools. Within the AHK, the project contributed towards internal capacity
building efforts in the area of HR.
