Human Capital Club 2014
During the year 2014, three recurring themes occupied
the activities of EKONID’s Human Capital Club (HCC):
the universal healthcare regulation, leveraging the
strategic role of HR by focusing on human capital, and
hiring of foreign staff in Indonesia.
With the government’s national healthcare programme
recently put in place, firms are required to register all
of their staff into the national healthcare programme.
As the regulation continued to be updated by the
government, HCC wanted its participants to get only
the most updated information. Therefore, speakers
Ms Surmiyati and Mr Mega Yudha Ratna, from BPJS
Health Central, were invited to the working group
at two separate sessions, 19
th
March 2014 and 26
th
September.
For the second topic, the strategic role of HR, HCC
highlighted methods to optimize motivation and
productivity within firms. To this end, HCC organized
two working group sessions, the first titled “When
to use which methodology? Training, Counseling,
Motivating or Coaching?” and the second “Coaching
for Performance”. Both sessions, delivered by Ms
Cynthia Wihardja, Executive Coach from ActionCoach
Indonesia, received positive feedback from participants.
On a separate occasion, HCC wanted to assist
companies in the activity of hiring foreign staff, as
violations continue to be made in this area. The need
for socialization continues, in particular clarification
on how the regulation should be implemented
correctly. The speaker for this topic was Ms Dra. Wiwik
Suprijanti M.Si from the Department of Manpower and
Transmigration and Mr Ian F. Markos from the Central
Immigration Office in Jakarta, who is in charge of
everything related to Indonesian stay permits.
Averaging 20-50 participants from HR departments
of various companies, EKONID’s Human Capital Club
(HCC) is a bi-monthly working group exclusively for
HR Managers. If you are interested in joining the next
EKONID HCC working group, please feel free to contact
